Medicare and Exercise PhysiologyExercise Physiology at Inspire Fitness is supported and covered under a number of Medicare-funded programs. For sessions to be covered under the Medicare system, you will need a referral to Inspire Fitness from your GP.
Your GP will determine your eligibility for the program based on your clinical background and will complete the relevant referral form. To assist you in understanding which Medicare programs cover Exercise Physiology we have listed below – along with a summary of the eligibility criteria. 1. Enhanced Primary care Program (EPC)
Under the Chronic Disease Management program an individual is eligible for up to 5 supervised sessions with an Exercise Physiologist.

Eligibility for this program is being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, being assessed with high blood sugar levels, OR having one or more risk factors for Type 2 Diabetes (overweight, family history of type 2 diabetes, inactive lifestyle, and / or being over age 50 years).
