A growing belief is emerging that Alzheimer’s Disease is really diabetes of the brain; linked to insulin levels which can be effected by too much sugar.
According to Professor Suzanne De La Monte “insulin resistance can occur in any organ” . In muscles (this is what diabetes is); in the liver (causes fatty liver disease), it can occur in the ovaries (known as polycystic ovary disease); and it can occur in the brain – which researchers now believe is the cause of Alzheimer's.
The following video Type 3 diabetes is a powerful visual representation of the damage which occurs in your brain with the over consumption of sugar. This damage linked to insulin resistance of the brain is being labelled type 3 diabetes.
